For years, we kept hearing the same question:
“Why don’t you make a proper whisky still?”
Following market needs and the development of the domestic distilling industry, we invested great effort into developing exactly that kind of solution, the first DES whisky still with a capacity of 2,000 liters.
This still was created as a response to the growing demand for serious production capacities, but without compromise when it comes to quality, precision, and the final result of distillation.
It is designed especially for whisky production, with a parallel lyne arm position, meaning a horizontally positioned pipe. This construction contributes to a more balanced contact between vapor and liquid, a more stable distillation flow, and a more uniform, fuller character of the final distillate.
In practice, this type of still enables precise distillation of fermented grain mash for the production of distillate, raw whisky before aging in a barrel. The process is managed carefully, with controlled heating, separation of the foreshots, and precise collection of the heart of the distillate, in order to obtain a high-quality base for whisky that will develop its full character during years of maturation.
This is not a universal still later adapted for whisky. This is a still made for whisky.
A strong market need deserves a concrete solution. That is why DES presents a powerful tool for distillers planning serious production.
The DES 2,000 L whisky still can be manufactured and delivered in capacities from 2,000 to 6,000 liters, in accordance with the needs of production and your distillery.
